LMS is committed to the long-term development of our team members. LMS Academy is our in-house school developed to support the continued development of our members from apprenticeship training to leadership and specialized courses. Classes consists of theory and practical lessons and online training modules. We value our team and support continued personal and professional development through fully sponsored schooling so you can gain full qualification as a Reinforcing Ironworker.
Certificate of Recognition (COR)
LMS is COR Certified by WorkSafe BC and Alberta Workers Compensation Board; very few construction trades are COR Certified. This designation is achieved by becoming a voluntary partner with WorkSafeBC and Alberta WCB. WorkSafeBC and Alberta WCB's voluntary Partners in Injury and Disability Prevention Program offers incentives to employers who create and adhere to health and safety management systems aimed at improving workplace safety and helping injured workers return to work in a safe and timely way.
Participating employers work with a Certifying Partner to meet the program's standards. After passing an audit, employers receive a Certificate of Recognition (COR) and become eligible to receive a rebate on WorkSafeBC/WCB premiums.
