May 15, 2015 - Over the course of 2014, LMS implemented far-reaching changes to our install crews and field organization in both BC and the Prairies.  With these changes, we are confident that LMS install is once again the very best in the business.

Specifics of these changes include:

May 7, 2015 - Flags that represented countries from all over the world, powerfully reflected the global community Surrey has become, hung in the ballroom of another successful Surrey International Awards event.

July 17, 2014 - Steel prices have seen relative calm for several years now. This has been the result of a relatively balanced market – with demand in parts of the global economy being off-set by relative sluggishness in other areas. However, it is apparent to steel watchers in recent months that the equilibrium is shifting towards inflationary pressures on pricing.

Our people, systems and management practices continue to improve as we deliver on our mission to build an industry-leading reinforcing steel company – one that consistently delivers superior performance and customer services while earning the trust of our customers, suppliers and employees.

Providing timely and efficient shipping is integral to the success of LMS projects. To ensure the best and fastest service possible, LMS has opened its own trucking company to handle its Alberta and Saskatchewan shipments.

October 8, 2013 - Relative calm continues on global steel markets.

Steel prices peaked in 2008, fell dramatically in late 2008 and 2009, and then achieved a substantial recovery in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, the European recession and slowdown in China dampened steel prices.

April 11, 2013 - Steel prices have continued with general calm in recent months. Where prices go next will depend in part on whether and to what extent regional or global pressures on pricing prevail.

December 11, 2012 - Six years after the complete collapse of the United States housing market, a recovery is finally taking hold. In a healthy economy, the US has approximately 1.2 million new households a year. From 2007-2011, it averaged only 570,000 a year. This year, analysts are expecting the number to recover substantially, and close in on the 1 million mark again.

August 17, 2012 - After almost two years of relative steel market stability, volatility has returned with a vengeance this summer. The roller coaster ride of the past three months has demonstrated again the extent to which current global economic dynamics have made steel pricing wildly volatile, and nearly impossible to predict.

April 26, 2012 - For now, global steel prices appear to have found a continuing balance, as supply and demand forces have achieved equilibrium.
