On March 8, 2018, LMS Reinforcing Steel Group (LMS) was recognized by the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program as a Platinum Member for 7 consecutive years of winning performance. We gained this recognition after a scrutinizing process that examines all aspects of our business process: strategic planning, marketplace capabilities, human resources initiatives and financial results.

In 2011, LMS was the first trade contractor in the country to be a winner in this program and today, we are the first trade contractor to earn Platinum Member status. “Seven years ago, when we first made it across the finish line, market conditions were still very challenging from the economic downturn, especially for those of us in construction,” says Ron McNeil, CEO and Co-Founder of LMS. “Since that time, we have worked hard to grow our business to ensure our people have meaningful long-term work with us.”

LMS Reinforcing Steel Group is the leading independent fabricator and installer of reinforcing steel in Western Canada and southern California. With 4 offices, 5 rebar fabrication yards and 2 post-tensioning fabrication facility, we serve developers and builders of residential, commercial, institutional and infrastructure construction projects of all sizes.

The senior management team is diligently focused on serving customer by bringing ideas and alternatives to the table during the value-engineering stage of the project and by meeting the daily installation requirements on our 250-plus active job sites. “Since winning this award, our team has grown to be 800-plus men and women strong, we have doubled in size and expanded internationally into the US.
